Co., Illinois ; 15 x 12 cm; Large cabinet sample with large dark purple cubes of
fluorite to 6.5 cm on edge nicely sprinkled with calcite crystals. The back shown in
the bottom pic is completely covered with calcite crystals. Some nicks here and

LG-IL7 Strontianite on Calcite - Minerva Mine #1,
Cave-In-Rock District, Hardin Co., Illinois, 10 x 7 cm; Nearly identical to
the other one that sold. These are very distinctive and must have bee a small
isolated find as I have never seen any except in the lot these came from. The color

LG-IL9 Fluorite - Gaskin Mine (?), Pope Co.,
Illinois ; 14 x 9.5 cm, Even living in the Midwest near the fluorite districts you rarely
see examples from Pope County. Large pale purple cubes showing some damage with some
brown aragonite (?) on one side. This old material is often fluorescent unlike most
Cave-In-Rock District samples. $35Reserved

Harris Creek District, Hardin County, IL, 8
x 7.5 cm; Nice combination specimen in excellent condition. The crystals rest
on a sparkling 2 cm thick bed of microsphalerite crystals. The fluorite crystals are
a dark purple like the cl;ose-up picture in person. From my personal collection.

LG-IL11 Galena with Sphalerite coating Fluorite -
Annabel Lee Mine, Hardin Co., Illinois ; 13 x 7 cm, Very unique sample with galena and
sphalerite almost as a pseudomorph after fluorite. I tried quite a few times to show
the cubic shape from the large fluorite crystal but couldn't capture it in my pics.
This one was previously in my personal collection and would make a great addition
to any suite of Southern Illinois minerals. $125

Small barite almost completely covers the backside. Good large sample

sulfide combination from S. Illinois. There is minor fluorite in association to
verify its not from the Lead-zinc mines of nearby missouri. A few rubs to some of
the sphalerite crystals but a great large reference sample for the price. $35
